La Finca

Tambor del Llano is a 32-hectare estate located 4 km from Grazalema and 20 km from Ronda.. In the heart of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, which was the first Biosphere Reserve declared in Spain (1977). A place of exceptional natural conditions in the Serranía de Ronda.

Facing south under the Pico del Jaral (964 m), Tambor del Llano is a splendid balcony overlooking the Sierras de Libar, the Sierra del Endrinal and the area of Descansadero, in the fertile plain of the river Campobuche or Guadares, a crossroads of various paths and tracks, which invite you to take long walks.

Tambor del Llano is made up of a dense cork oak forest It is built on large sandstone stones that give way to pastures and crops distributed among several irrigation channels and often occupying old terraces that once housed vineyards.

Here we find a varied representation of the Mediterranean flora. Trees such as wild olive trees, gall oaks, holm oaks, stone pines, quince trees, old pear trees and a rich shrubby flora, broom, rockroses, gorse, cistus, laburnum, lavender, buckthorn, hawthorn and thyme.

The Swimming Pool

Swimming pool in nature

The Tambor del Llano swimming pool is integrated into the landscape, into nature. It is located very close to the main building, behind a large stone and the cork oak that inspired the Tambor del Llano logo.

It looks like a natural pool among the rocks, in the middle of the cork oak forest, with the Sierra de Grazalema in the background. The design of the pool adapts to the morphology and colour of the natural rocks of the terrain. In perfect harmony with the landscape, finished with free-form silica sand and personalised in its design to make the most of the bathing experience.

Swimming area, beach, submerged sun loungers and variable depth as if it were a natural pond, providing the special sensation of bathing in the middle of nature.

It incorporates an innovative aerotherapy system that consists of filtering air bubbles through the quartz sand that forms the pool.

It is an environmentally friendly pool, it does not use reinforced concrete, it is a mixture of natural products well integrated with the best technologies.

Organic Farm

We are a sustainable primary farm, dedicated to the exploitation of an estate of agricultural, forestry and livestock interest, where traditional uses such as cork production are combined with new exploitation programmes such as the cultivation of mycorrhizal mushrooms or the recovery of olive groves.

All of this is based on the premise of integrated and ecological production, in accordance with the classification established in the Grazalema Natural Resources Management Plan.

Cork

A well-preserved cork oak grove with the characteristic trees of the original potential forest is preserved and maintained. The upper part of the estate is populated with large cork oaks, which are in use.

We are planting new cork oak trees and protecting those that grow spontaneously from livestock, guaranteeing the renewal and maintenance of the dehesa.

Cork is harvested every 10 years, depending on environmental conditions. Corking is an artisanal process that benefits the tree.
