Carmen Berrini

On another scale

Tambor del Llano presents "A otra escala" by Carmen Berrini, an Italian artist and architect based in Asturias. It is a selection of works that reflects her creative process, expressed through her experimentation in the field of engraving, with occasional incursions into ceramics and three-dimensional textiles.

Prints, drawings, textiles and ceramics

Carmen Berrini is an artist from the north of Italy based in Asturias. In Tambor del Llano she presents an exhibition entitled "A otra escala" (On another scale) with graphic work, drawings, ceramics and textiles. Nature and its most microscopic parts inspire and shape the theme of these artistic works.

His artistic references are very diverse: from Klee or Miró to Micheaux or Twombly, but also the textile works of Sati Zech, Joana Vasconcelos or Emily Barletta, to name but a few".

As Santiago Martínez suggests (La Escena 29/03/2019) "these are very eclectic sources that, from their diversity, enrich a work that seems to debate between formal rigour, spontaneity and expressiveness ... revealing a certain indocility that, in his work, is not at odds with the search for beauty".
