We offer yoga sessions for individuals, couples and small groups.

The practice of the yoga sessions can be adapted for beginners as well as for experienced practitioners.

The yoga session lasts 1h15.

Yoga is a Hindu discipline, originating more than 5000 years ago, which encompasses a whole philosophy of life.

Through a combination of asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing), meditation, and other techniques, we balance the body with the mind.

Yoga is suitable for all types of people of all physical and emotional conditions.

Yoga postures are divided into standing, balancing, bending, twisting, hip opening and inversion postures.

The practice begins with an introduction, a pranayama (breathing), a warm-up followed by sun salutations, continues with standing and balancing postures, postures for bending, twisting, inversions, a relaxation and ends with a meditation.

This general programme can be adapted according to the needs of the participants.

María del Mar Román is a teacher specialised in Hatha Yoga and Hatha Vinyasa Yoga.

Hatha Yoga works on the physical body, body awareness through physical postures, specific breathing and cleansing techniques in order to achieve mental mastery, balance and strengthening of the Self. As a physiological consequence, a rebalancing of the nervous and endocrine system is observed, as well as a strengthening of the immune system. The musculature becomes more flexible and strengthened and the physical structure is brought into correct alignment. Mindfulness, the present moment, the here and now, relaxation and meditation are also part of a yoga session.

We will also do a practice in which we synchronise movement and breath in a harmonious flow. The conscious breath flows with each inhalation and exhalation and represents the dance through vinyasas, which are those sequences that act as transitions between asanas (postures).
